Biography
A former Doctor to the Barrios, he received the Grand Distinction Award from the Department of Health in 2009 for being the most outstanding doctor to the barrios during that year. He eventually joined the faculty of the University of Saint La Salle College of Medicine in Bacolod City where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in 2006. He later joined the Zuellig Family Foundation where he is currently the director of the Community Health Partnership Program. He has been working with the foundation and its more than 70 partner municipalities nationwide since 2011. He has written and publish a textbook on Public Health in 2015. Dr. Bien is a true blooded Lasallian having gone through Lasallian education since Grade 1 until College of Medicine (at University of Saint La Salle in Bacolod City) and earning his Masters in health Social Science at DLSU Taft in 2014.
