Dr. Diana Therese M. Veloso is an Assistant Professor at the Behavioral Sciences Department of De La Salle University in the Philippines. She completed her Ph.D. in Sociology at Loyola University in Chicago. Her areas of expertise include: gender studies, criminology, violence, qualitative research, and community-based research. She has conducted original research on women formerly on death row in the Philippines. She has also examined gender-based violence among internally displaced people in the southern Philippines. She served as a consultant in two research initiatives that examined serious and organized crime threats and an evaluation of programs and facilities for children in conflict with the law in the country.
