Henry Amelia 

Biography

Amelia leads the Drought Physiology Group at IRRI. Her research group conducts drought physiology experiments on rice in collaboration with the drought breeding, drought molecular biology, and genetic transformation groups at IRRI.  One aspect of their work has been to dissect the mechanisms behind major-effect drought-yield QTLs identified by the IRRI drought breeding group. Their results have revealed a range of traits associated with yield under drought that typically occur in combination, and some of which appear to be drought-induced.
