Oscar M. Lopez

Biography

Oscar M. Lopez (aged 87) chaired the company’s board from June 8, 1993 until June 2010, when he was elected as chairman emeritus. He served as Lopez Holdings president from 1999 until 2004, and chief executive officer from 1999 to June 2010. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard College and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. He is chairman emeritus of First Philippine Holdings Corporation (FPH), First Gen Corporation (FGEN), and Energy Development Corporation (EDC) and is a director of Rockwell Land Corporation (Rockwell), ABS-CBN Corporation (ABS-CBN), and ABS-CBN Holdings Corporation (ABSP), all publicly listed companies. He owns 11,632,408 Lopez Holdings shares. He has been granted by the Securities and Exchange Commission exemption from the continuing corporate governance training requirements for directors. He has been nominated for re-election.
