George Muller

Biography

  George was an Outstanding Investigator and Senior Director of Chemistry with Celgene until his retirement in mid-2011. George has a deep knowledge of the PDE4 inhibitor landscape having been responsible, whilst at Celgene, for the discovery of 3 approved drugs including apremilast (Otezla®). In 2015 he was inducted into the ‘Heroes of Chemistry’, a very considerable honour bestowed by the American Chemical Society (ACS), the world’s largest scientific society. Dr Muller obtained a B.S. in chemistry from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, and a M.A. and Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara
