Ambrosio Gonzalez

Biography

Ambrosio Gonzalez is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Taxand in Miami, Florida. He specializes in international tax as well as Private Client Services. His primary areas of concentration are cross border structures for private clients and performing diligence, analysis and consulting around international tax treaties. With more than 20 years of experience in Venezuelan and international tax consulting, Mr. Gonzalez has advised private clients implementing international tax structures, income tax analysis and providing tax compliance services for companies in the manufacturing, retail, energy and industrial services sectors. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Gonzalez was one of the founding partners of Taxand Venezuela, a member firm of the Taxand global network.  Most notably, he built the Valencia practice from the ground up. Mr. Gonzalez was successful in developing professional relationships and establishing a strong local client base comprised of subsidiaries of US and EU multinational companies as well as private clients.  Mr. Gonzalez spent 13 years with PwC Venezuela, where he served as a Senior Manager involved in tax compliance and cross-border planning. Mr. Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universidad de Carabobo in Valencia, Venezuela and has attended several international taxes courses at the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  Mr. Gonzalez is a member of the Venezuelan National Accounting Association and has served as Vice-President and Treasurer for the Executive Association of the State of Carabobo (AEEC) for the past three years.  He has taught as an adjunct professor for the Universidad de Carabobo for the post graduate program with a focus on international tax treaties.
