Biography

Arthur Forbus is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in Houston and a regional leader of the firm’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Services. He specializes in Integrated Performance Management (IPM) solutions and is a recognized expert in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Business Intelligence (BI). Mr. Forbus advises CFOs and Chief Information Officers (CIOs) on identifying and integrating processes and enabling technologies with organizational alignment that drives improved financial and operational performance. His strategies enable functional leaders to act as business partners within their organizations. Mr. Forbus brings more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting, consulting, solution architecture and delivery of performance management solutions, including software evaluation / selection and accounting / finance process improvement. His experience includes more than two decades as a customer, employee and partner of industry leading EPM software providers. Over the course of his career, Mr. Forbus has advised numerous Global 1000 organizations on assessing processes, defining requirements, evaluating solutions, selecting vendors and developing roadmaps to successfully deploy improved processes and enable technology. Mr. Forbus has assisted clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, insurance, aviation, manufacturing, energy, retail and restaurants. Some of his notable clients include The University of Texas System, Anadarko Petroleum, Apache Corporation, Noble Corporation, Dresser-Rand, Bristow Group, United Airlines, Reynolds Consumer Products, Hudson’s Bay Company, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Stage Stores, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Georgia-Pacific. Mr. Forbus earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a founding member of the Hyperion Partner Advisory Council.
