Bernardo Diament

Biography

Bernardo Diament is a Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal, in the São Paulo Office, where he co-leads the Performance Improvement practice in Brazil. He has more than 20 years of professional experience and has been advising Brazilian and multinational companies in a full range of subjects. Mr. Diament advised C-level executives of large national and multinational corporations in sectors such as private equity, infrastructure (ports, railways, logistics, heavy construction), healthcare, financial services, IT services, agribusiness, telecom, media, beverages, chemical and automotive.​ In these industries, Mr. Diament has addressed a variety of subjects, including business process optimization and cost management, organization and governance redesign / optimization, investment strategy and tactics, strategic and commercial due diligence, valuation, M&A, post-merger integration, portfolio, corporate and business unit strategy, and customer loyalty. Before joining Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Diament ran his own consulting boutique (OrangeOne Advisors), having been, prior to that, a Principal at Bain & Co., in Brazil, for more than five years. His consulting career started at McKinsey& Co., in São Paulo, where he stayed for six years. He has also served in executive roles, having managed a family business portfolio and the turnaround of a food industrial company. Mr. Diament started his career at Fiat Group (Magneti Marelli – Divisione Controllo Motore), in Bologna, Italy, where he was in charge of applied engineering of electronic fuel injection systems in vehicles for five years. Mr. Diament earned an MBA from Insead (France) and graduated in electronics engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica – ITA (Brazil). He has lived in Italy for five years and is fluent in Portuguese (native), English and Italian, besides having professional proficiency in Spanish and limited proficiency in French.
