Biography
Brittany Fortin is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in Chicago. Ms. Fortin brings deep experience in enterprise-level transformation and strategic project and change management for large and complex transformation efforts. Recently, she led project and change management as well as communications workstreams for a two year, $1B merchandising transformation engagement with a Fortune 50 retailer in North America. She later designed and supported the project and change management office in its strategic implementation efforts that resulted in over $1 billion in annualized run-state productivity impact. Through these projects, Ms. Fortin demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder alignment, future state process development, strategic objective road mapping and enterprise application selection. While working with an energy and utilities client, Ms. Fortin led the reorganization of a 45-person accounting department, which included defining hiring and training requirements, the management of recruiting plans and the maintenance of GAAP reporting compliance efforts. She also led knowledge transfer and Day One readiness efforts for over 500 employees affected by a corporate separation. Ms. Fortin later designed processes and organizational structures as well as job descriptions, communications and training materials for a Fortune 500 paper company amidst a corporate reorganization. While engaged by a Fortune 50 North American retailer, Ms. Fortin led the development and execution of C-level communications and engagement tools during a multi-year LEAN focused marketing and merchandising transformation. She also designed and led the transformation program of the strategy, R&D, risk management and human resources functions for a privately held financial services and trading firm. Prior to A&M, Ms. Fortin served in the Business Strategy and Transformation practice at BearingPoint. Prior to that, she worked in the Channel and Customer Solutions Groups at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting. Ms. Fortin earned an MBA with concentrations in finance and marketing from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s of science degree in statistics and marketing from Miami University.
