Biography

Casper de Bruyn is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in Amsterdam, with more than 12 years of Big Four experience in advising clients on mergers and acquisitions. His primary areas of concentration are providing financial due diligence and transaction advisory services to private equity and corporate clients in relation to both acquisitions and disposals.Mr. De Bruyn’s significant experience in assessing historical and projected financial performance, key business drivers, working capital and funding requirements, synergy and cost savings initiatives, and carve-out considerations brings added value to the client’s team. He has also advised on sale and purchase agreements, including both locked-box and completion account mechanisms.He has worked with international corporate and private equity clients across a wide range of industries, including chemicals, shipbuilding, offshore (wind, oil and gas) and retail.Mr. De Bruyn brings extensive knowledge of transaction advice within Asia following years of working and living in China and Korea, as well as assisting on numerous transactions since returning to the Netherlands between Europe, the U.S. and Asia. He has also worked on various Asia outbound deals involving Asian clients contemplating acquisitions of European companies.Mr. de Bruyn earned a master’s degree in economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. A Dutch national, he is fluent in Dutch and English and has working knowledge of German.
