Biography
Christer Johansson is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in the Nordics. He brings 15 years of experience in transaction advisory and has counseled on 200+ deals and assignments. His primary areas of expertise are operational due diligence, carve-out processes and integrations including synergy analysis. Mr. Johansson has worked with clients across a range of industries, including industrial manufacturing, logistics, automotive, pulp and paper, IT and retail. Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Johansson led the operational due diligence and Integrations/carve-out teams in KPMG and PwC in the Nordic markets. He has worked with the major private equity firms in the Nordics and Europe and advises multinational Nordic companies on a global basis. Mr. Johansson has extensive experience with analysis and hands-on implementation of production improvements, including changes of production structures, footprint optimizations and production line transfers. He helps clients with Capex evaluations and the re-structuring of production flows. He has successfully completed the implementation of large efficiency improvement projects, within manufacturing, logistics and supply chain, as well as improvements within working capital. Previously, Mr. Johansson has worked 10 years for the multinational industrial companies Alfa Laval and Atlas Copco on integrations, carve-outs, production optimization work, turnarounds and supply chain improvements. He has worked hands on doing implementations locally at acquired manufacturing sites. Mr. Johansson earned a Master’s of Science from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) and also studied at Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Germany) and at IFL/Handelshögsskolan (Sweden). A Swedish national, Mr. Johansson is fluent in English, Italian and German and conversational in Spanish.
