Biography
Chris Mangelsen is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory Group in Chicago. Mr. Mangelsen brings more than 10 years of accounting and financial analysis experience in buy-side, sell-side and post-transaction matters for both private equity firms and strategic buyers. He has experience across a wide range of industries, including general manufacturing and distribution, technology, media, and energy. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mangelsen was a Senior Consultant with the Transaction Advisory Services group of Ernst & Young, where he primarily provided financial due diligence services to private equity firms engaged in leveraged buy-outs and recapitalizations ranging from $50 million to $10 billion. Mr. Mangelsen has advised clients such as Blackstone Capital Partners, Madison Dearborn Partners, Court Square Capital Partners (formerly CVC) and Code, Hennessey and Simmons. Mr. Mangelsen earned a bachelor's degree in finance, with a concentration in accountancy, from the University of Iowa. Additionally, he earned a master’s degree in business administration, with concentrations in finance, accounting and strategic management, from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Illinois.
