Craig Mcclory

Biography

Craig McClory is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal in Chicago, where he specializes in operational improvement, cost reduction, manufacturing efficiency improvement and supply chain optimization. He leads the firm's manufacturing and supply chain practice in the Midwest region, with a focus on manufacturing and distribution companies in the consumer products, industrial, automotive, life science (medical device / pharma) and healthcare industries. With more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience, Mr. McClory brings significant expertise in analyzing end-to-end supply chain operations and in developing and executing supply chain and manufacturing operational improvement solutions. His experience has included developing manufacturing shop floor optimization and efficiency improvement through lean manufacturing techniques, demand and supply planning, collaborative supply chain strategies, warehouse optimization, component material lead time reductions, inventory optimization, RFID strategy development, e-business strategies and the selection and implementation of supporting supply chain IT systems. Most recently, Mr. McClory co-managed manufacturing operations for a number of clients, where he led the operational component of several major initiatives, including shop floor rationalization, capacity improvement, scrap reduction and labor alignment resulting in significant cost reduction and gained efficiencies. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. McClory was a Senior Manager in the strategy and operations practice of Deloitte Consulting, where he led engagements in the consumer and industrial businesses and life sciences industries. Previously, he was a Principal Consultant with the consumer and industrial products practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, leading the central region i2 e-business practice and focused on developing e-business solutions, customer order fulfillment, inventory optimization planning, vendor scheduling and lead-time reduction, supply chain systems implementations and process reengineering engagements in the consumer business and high technology industries. Before his consulting career, he was a practicing civil engineer, working on numerous construction projects. Mr. McClory earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from Heriot-Watt University. He is a graduate of the advanced course design, manufacture and management from the University of Cambridge, U.K. and is certified in Six Sigma Green Belt.
