Biography
Cristal Brun is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in Washington, D.C. She brings more than 14 years of experience in accounting, business, and litigation consulting for publicly-traded, closely-held, and public sector entities. Ms. Brun specializes in providing expert witness and consulting services related to economic damages, fraud investigations, and business valuations. Ms. Brun has led various consulting engagements involving forensic accounting investigations, commercial and civil litigation, and financial analysis. Ms. Brun has extensive consulting experience working with clients across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, automotive, telecommunications, government contracting, professional services, financial institutions, energy, insurance, construction contractors, real estate, and public sector. She has worked on projects related to employee stock options (ESO) backdating, fraud and money laundering investigations, wrongful death valuations, and economic damage calculations. Ms. Brun has also been involved on matters relating to Sarbanes-Oxley testing and reporting, breach of contract, lost profits analysis, and class action litigations. Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Brun was a Manager in the Disputes, Analysis & Investigations practice of Navigant Consulting. Earlier, she spent two years in a supervisory role in the Litigations & Investigations Group for PricewaterhouseCoopers where she worked on the September 11th Victims Compensation Fund, focusing on wrongful death valuations, and also worked in other litigation matters related to fraud investigations and damage calculations. Ms. Brun earned a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Finance from The Pennsylvania State University.
