Biography
David Griffith is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in Houston. He advises organizations and their counsel in addressing the challenges and opportunities presented by information technology in the context of litigation, investigations, bankruptcy, regulatory matters and information governance. Mr. Griffith has over 23 years of experience providing information technology solutions to organizations of all sizes across a broad range of industries including banking, pharmaceuticals, mining, oil and gas, energy trading, healthcare and manufacturing. He provides services in employment matters, environmental incidents, shareholder actions, contract disputes, white collar crime investigations, oil and gas royalty disputes, intellectual property matters and merger integration. He has directed electronic discovery efforts in a number of the largest and most complex litigations and investigations in the U.S. Mr. Griffith is an expert in delivering services across the full spectrum of ediscovery activities from identification, preservation and collection to processing, review and production. He has significant experience in engineering advanced document review workflows which can include technology assisted review and advanced analytics. He also works with structured (transactional) data, performing complex analysis and modeling to form the basis for oil and gas royalties disputes, intellectual property licensing compliance and insurance coverage allocations. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Griffith was an independent consultant providing ediscovery advisory and management services to counsel for a major energy company following the largest corporate collapse of its time. Previously, he was a Manager in the Litigation Consulting practice of Arthur Andersen LLP where he provided forensic data analytics and modeling services in a variety of investigations and litigation matters. His career experience also includes positions as a systems analyst and developer of trading, risk management and transactional accounting software in the energy industry. Mr. Griffith earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University and an MBA with a concentration in management information systems from the University of Houston. He is a Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) and a certified Relativity Review Specialist. He was a member of the charter class of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (CEDS).​
