Biography
Ed Mosley is a Managing Director with Alvarez and Marsal in Dallas.With more than 14 years of restructuring experience, Mr. Mosley is an experienced advisor to creditors and companies in distressed and bankruptcy situations. Mr. Mosley has worked with both private and public companies across various industries, including manufacturing, transportation, automotive, retail, industrial construction, telecommunications, healthcare and direct selling. Mr. Mosley served as Chief Restructuring Officer to a $3 billion global battery manufacturer, Exide Technologies, during its most recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Some of his financial advisory assignments have included Aurora Bank (subsidiary of Lehman Brothers), Vitro America, Visteon Corporation, and Chesapeake Corporation. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mosley served as interim management for Home Interiors & Gifts, Inc., Highland Capital Management’s largest private equity investment. Mr. Mosley was responsible for all financial and strategic planning and spent time in China founding a sourcing agency for the company’s products. Prior to joining Home Interiors & Gifts, Inc., Mr. Mosley served as a vice president at Barrier Advisors, LP. Barrier Advisers served as Highland Capital Management’s workout advisory arm as the hedge fund executed its loan-to-own strategies through secured and unsecured debt trading. Representative transactions included: Cone Mills, Galey & Lord, DeCrane Aircraft, and Amcast Automotive. Prior to joining Barrier Advisors, Mr. Mosley spent four years with Chanin Capital Partners, a premier restructuring advisory firm to unsecured creditors in distressed and bankruptcy situations. Representative transactions included: Washington Group International, Global Crossing Ltd., Doskocil Manufacturing Company, NCS Healthcare, Trend Technologies, American Classic Voyages and United Artists Entertainment. Mr. Mosley earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, completing all pre-medicine requirements, from Harvard University. Mr. Mosley has been recognized as a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor by the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA).
