Biography
Georg Hochleitner is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Munich. He brings 18 years of experience in working for private equity funds. His primary areas of concentration are commercial and operational due diligence, 100-day planning as well as performance improvement. Mr. Hochleitner has worked with clients on a wide range of targets in numerous industries, most importantly healthcare (services, pharmaceuticals, med-tech), business services, logistics, consumer goods, manufacturing and packaging. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hochleitner spent three and a half years as a Partner with goetzpartners Management Consultants in Munich. During this period, he led close to 100 commercial and operational due diligence projects for both private equity and corporate clients. The target companies included, amongst many others, a leading international digital market place, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of hearing aids, a manufacturer of self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging material, a producer of complex rehab wheelchairs and a manufacturer of food processing equipment. Mr. Hochleitner was responsible for the PE Practice, which he set up and under his leadership quickly established as a highly regarded market leader in Germany. Previously, he was a Vice President at Rothgordt & Cie, an independent consulting firm offering strategy and transaction advice, as well as value enhancement programs to achieve sustainable value creation results for medium-to-large sized family-owned enterprises, divisions of multinational groups, leading private equity funds and family offices. Prior to Rothgordt & Cie, Mr. Hochleitner worked as a consultant and case team leader at Bain & Company. Mr. Hochleitner graduated in business informatics from the University of Vienna, Austria, and earned a master’s degree in health policy and management from Harvard University. An Austrian national, Mr. Hochleitner is fluent in German and English.
