James Chvatal

Biography

James Chvatal is a Managing Director and the operational leader nationally and a member of the Executive Committee for Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in North America.He has been involved in professional services operations for nearly 20 years with several global professional services organizations in addition to nearly a decade of client service in the public accounting arena.Currently, Mr. Chvatal provides overall facilitation and support for the people management and operating functions of the Corporate Performance Improvement unit, including strategic planning and budgeting, financial management, risk management, resource deployment and management, performance management and rewards, employee matters, recruiting, culture and retention, knowledge management, marketing, communications, change management and learning and professional growth. Although situated in the Texas market, he focuses his daily activities on the national Corporate Performance Improvement practice.Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Chvatal provided litigation consulting assistance relating to financial and damage issues in various industries with significant involvement in the analysis of damages and related financial issues. He brings experience in breach of contract, oil and gas disputes, royalties, intellectual property and patent infringement. Before his career in consulting, he was with the accounting and audit services division of a Big Eight public accounting firm.Mr. Chvatal earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas.
