Jeffrey Jones

Biography

Jeffrey Jones is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory and Private Equity Performance Improvement Group in New York City. Mr. Jones brings over a decade worth of business development experience within the financial community. Mr. Jones’s area of expertise was refined over almost two decades working along-side some of Wall Street’s most reputable firms.  That experience served as a catalyst for establishing partner-level relationships with private equity, legal, and investment banking firms in finance.  These alliances acted as a source for new assignments and other value added opportunities associated with them. Prior to A&M, Mr. Jones was a Managing Director in Global Capital Markets at Donnelley Financial Solutions (“DFS”), formerly a subsidiary of RR Donnelley.  Mr. Jones’s focus for the Capital Markets Group was on the investment community offering a diverse software product mix to support high-yield, IPO, and M&A transactions. During this time, Mr. Jones secured and worked on some very high-profile deals such as AB In-Bev’s acquisitions of Anheuser Busch and SABMiller, MF Global IPO, Michael Kors IPO, Ferrari IPO, GE divestitures of NBC and GE Capital (Synchrony Financial), to name a few. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Cardinal Shehan Center of Bridgeport, CT.  As a Board Member, Treasurer, and Chair of the Finance Committee, he works with the Executive Director and the senior staff on strategic financial and operational improvements.  Prior to the Cardinal Shehan Center, Mr. Jones was the Co-Chair for the Consulting Advisory Board for Youth I.N.C., an organization that connects corporate professionals with non-profit organizations in New York City.  Prior to Youth I.N.C., Mr. Jones served as the lead Advisory Board member helping steer TapDynamics, a start-up venture providing beverage and data management solutions for the hospitality industry, through its early growth stages. Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon, as well as a Professional Selling Certificate from the University of Washington.
