John Goodman

Biography

John Goodman is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in Chicago. Mr. Goodman is focused on account development and new client growth across all A&M business units. He has over 20 years of experience identifying, expanding and managing accounts in industries such as insurance, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, finance, private equity, automotive, high-tech and consumer goods/services. Mr. Goodman targets key stakeholders to develop relationships and establish trust allowing information to be exchanged. He focuses on creating value beyond specific opportunities to encourage long-term collaboration, structural alignment and strategic growth. He began his career as an attorney in commercial litigation and business transactions with an emphasis on Intellectual Property. He transitioned into business development where he has delivered software and technology solutions and various professional services to both publicly traded and privately held companies. Over the course of his career, he has assisted clients with litigation, ESI, forensics and managed review support, legal matter management and court reporting, enterprise content and contract management, as well as M&A due diligence and virtual data room assistance. His career has also found him providing SEC disclosure filings, XBRL and financial printing, capital markets transaction support, foreign language translations, technology planning, system design and implementation, as well as document integrity and remediation. Mr. Goodman’s account management and business development experience comes through software developers and professional services providers. Most recently, he was a Vice President with Merrill Corporation where he was responsible for client management, account strategy and new revenue growth. He has earned degrees from Northwestern University and DePaul University. Mr. Goodman participates in his local school district’s Education Foundation, which is tasked with raising funds for projects and programs in support of student enrichment. He is also part of his village's local government where he has served on the Safety Committee as well as the Plan Commission, and currently serves on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
