Biography

Mark W. Biggers, a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement based in Texas, brings more than 35 years of experience as a finance executive with medium to large domestic and international companies. He specializes in finance and accounting transformation, interim management, merger integration and carve-outs, and process improvement.Mr. Biggers works with clients on accounting and financial reporting, Securities and Exchange Commission compliance, enterprise resource planning (ERP) system selection and international business matters. He has substantial experience in all aspects of the energy industry (upstream exploration and production (E&P), midstream, refining, services and manufacturing) as well as the engineering and construction and retail sectors. While at A&M, Mr. Biggers led engagements where he reported to the Board of Directors for clients while serving as interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Controller in both the energy and construction industries. He has also established C-Suite and Board level relationships in the delivery of various strategic projects, including organizational assessments and major remediation / transformation initiatives.While working in industry, Mr. Biggers served as the CFO of a small publicly-traded oil and gas company with assets in West Texas, the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) of a public international oilfield services company based in Houston and Calgary, and the CFO of a privately-held international engineering and construction company headquartered in Houston.Mr. Biggers also previously worked in the E&P subsidiary entities and corporate headquarters of Mobil Oil Corporation. He served as the CFO of an oil and gas joint venture in the Middle East with $8 billion in assets that produced over one million barrels of oil per day and had an annual capital budget of over $700 million. He was responsible for accounting, information technology, human resources, legal, government relations, medical and building services. Other joint interest partners included BP, Total, Shell and a national oil company. Mr. Biggers earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in finance from Hull University in England.
