Biography
Meredith Kessinger Damm is a Senior Director with Alvarez and Marsal Valuation Services in Atlanta. With more than 20 years of experience, she has a strong background in business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and transaction-related advisory services. Ms. Damm provides business valuation services for a variety of purposes including: mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy/turnaround, financial reporting, 409A compliance, ESOPs, private equity portfolios, and estate and tax planning. With a focus on strategic advisory services, she counsels companies throughout the transaction life cycle from pre-acquisition pricing and strategic planning to post-acquisition services including: ASC 805 purchase price allocations, development of 100 day plans, synergy analysis and measurement, and ASC 350 goodwill impairment valuations. Ms. Damm has led numerous engagements including the following notable projects: ASC 805 and 718 valuations for a national restaurant chain; fairness opinion for the $200 million sale of a recycling company; valuation advisory services for the sale of a healthcare company under Section 363; acquisition integration services for a global financial technology company; divestiture and valuation consulting for a regional commercial contractor; pricing and sensitivity analysis for a distressed regional trucking company; and buy-side advisory services for a global automotive company. Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Damm was the Founder and Managing Director at Fountainhead Advisors, a boutique business valuation and financial advisory firm. Previously, Ms. Damm held positions at Wachovia Capital Markets where she advised companies on exit strategies and raising debt and equity capital and in the Corporate Finance Group at PriceWaterhouseCoopers where she focused on business valuation and mergers and acquisition advisory services. Ms. Damm is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation with the American Society of Appraisers and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' business valuation certification program. She earned an MBA in finance from Georgia State University and a bachelors degree in marketing from Birmingham-Southern College.
