Michael Cleland is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal in San Francisco. He brings expertise in business transformation, performance improvement, complex problem analysis, finance process transformation, quote-to-cash acceleration, merger integration and strategy execution.Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Cleland was a Vice President at The North Highland Company, where he reestablished the San Francisco business and grew it to more than $10 million in annual revenue in less than six years. He had further oversight for the firm’s Denver and Minneapolis markets. Mr. Cleland has built strong delivery teams and delivered engagements to clients in software / intellectual property, as well as healthcare and consumer product companies.Prior to his work at The North Highland Company, Mr. Cleland was a Vice President at Capgemini / Ernst & Young with a focus on business analysis consulting, high-tech manufacturing, merger integrations, and high-growth strategy and transformation.Prior to Capgemini / Ernst & Young, Mr. Cleland held both Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) positions at a software company and a semiconductor design and manufacturing company.
