Paul Forgue

Biography

Paul Forgue is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal's Asia practice and is based in Singapore. He has 20 years of experience providing advisory services and in executive management roles focused primarily on operational turnarounds and challenging financial restructurings. Owners, directors and other stakeholders have come to rely on Mr. Forgue's ability to rapidly assess complex situations, develop solutions and execute appropriate change. He has been Chief Financial Officer for both private and publicly listed companies and has experience across a wide range of industries including wine and spirits, industrial manufacturing, transportation and logistics, automobile distribution and specialty retail. Mr. Forgue has more than 10 years of prior experience with Alvarez & Marsal in the United States where he worked with private equity firms, creditors and other clients in both advisory and interim management roles. Mr. Forgue served as the operational controller of the largest domestic outpatient surgery, diagnostic testing and physical rehabilitation services provider during its successful restructuring. He also served as the post-acquisition Vice President of Finance for a PE-owned salon and personal care product specialty retailer where he completed the operational and back-office integration of two companies and assisted in delivering improved sales, gross margins and working capital investment. Mr. Forgue has worked on a range of situations in Greater China and Southeast Asia including leading a team that executed a liquidity management and business rationalization plan for a major Chinese luxury auto distributor. In Indonesia, he worked with a private equity portfolio company to improve the quality of their reporting process. Mr. Forgue was also responsible for the divestiture of several legacy Lehman Brothers assets in Indonesia and Thailand. Before rejoining Alvarez & Marsal Asia, Mr. Forgue was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer of Truett-Hurst, Inc., a California-based publicly listed winery. Under Mr. Forgue's leadership, the company completed an ERP implementation, divested a non-core business and successfully negotiated a resolution to several critical business disputes and substantially improved operating income and liquidity. Mr. Forgue earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Dallas and an MBA from Rice University's Jesse H. Jones School of Management in Houston, Texas.
