Biography
Randy Lemer is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in Houston. Mr. Lemer specializes in financial, accounting and economic matters in dispute settings and in forensic accounting investigations. He has also served as a financial arbitrator on multiple occasions. With more than 25 years of experience advising clients on auditing issues, Mr. Lemer has worked on projects involving lost profit analysis, valuations, accounting reconstruction, fraud investigations, asset tracing and financial compliance with contract (including post purchase price disputes). His analysis has included the compilation and review of underlying records, data sets, transactional information, contracts and regulatory requirements. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Lemer spent more than 10 years with the Financial Advisory Services Groups of two Big Four firms. Previously, he had served within the Internal Audit groups of Fortune 100 companies. Mr. Lemer earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, from the University of Texas at Austin. He also earned a juris doctor degree from South Texas College of Law. Mr. Lemer is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and a licensed attorney. He is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs, and Texas Bar Association.
