Biography
Mr. Lewis is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal in Los Angeles. He brings expertise in supply chain operational improvement, cost reduction and growth strategies. With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Lewis has served in key leadership and transformational roles across a range of industries, including aerospace and defense, consumer products, high technology, communications and financial management companies. He has led cross-functional teams on large-scale projects and has held senior manufacturing and operations positions at Ford, General Motors, Boeing and Northrop Grumman. His Global Fortune 1000 consulting clients include Boeing, AT&T, ConAgra Foods, JP Morgan, American Express, Cisco and Credit Suisse. As Vice President of Corporate Supply Chain Operations for a major high tech company, he established a corporate-shared service organization and was responsible for oversight of $8.5 billion annual spend. He oversaw corporate supplier rationalization and commodity management initiatives. While Director of Global Procurement for a Fortune 500 information technology company, his responsibilities included oversight of $3.7 billion global annual indirect and direct spend for a $6 billion information technology business sector and served as Chairman of the Corporate Supply Risk Management Council. As Vice President of Manufacturing at a major global aerospace company, his responsibilities included production, maintenance and overhaul operations for global aircraft programs for commercial and government customers. He led various supply chain / manufacturing multi-disciplined teams in support of new / enhanced aerospace programs for both domestic and international clients. Recent consulting projects consist of leading financial services / consumer products companies in rapid supply chain working capital / EBITDA improvement programs. Mr. Lewis served as CPO for a Midwest-based construction company, VP of Procurement for a $7 billion global food products company transforming its S2P operational performance and financial performance, served as an interim plant manager for a global technology company in support of a $25 million technology and facility improvement program and has led several operational performance improvement projects including spend management / strategic sourcing, procure-to-pay process optimization and technology / system integration initiatives for several leading global financial, consumer products and manufacturing companies. Mr. Lewis earned bachelor degrees in business administration and political science from the University of California. He is a member of the National Contracts Management Association, and is APICS (The Association for Operations Management) and CPM certified.
