Biography
Robin Evitts is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal in San Francisco, specializing in delivering transformational business performance improvements. Her primary areas of concentration are finance, corporate governance and information technology. With more than 24 years of experience, she has served as both a corporate executive with a Fortune 500 company and as a partner of a global consulting firm. Ms. Evitts has worked with clients across various industries, including consumer goods manufacturing, retail, distribution, non-profit / K-12 education and health care. Notable assignments include: evaluating teacher professional development innovations for a large philanthropic organization, creating IT roadmap and strategies for several Bay Area companies, and identifying and delivering improvements in finance leadership and processes with various private equity backed and middle-market companies. Before joining A&M, Ms. Evitts spent seven years with The Clorox Company in Oakland, CA, where she most recently served for five years as Chief Information Officer. In this role, she transformed the global IT function through a combination of internal transformation and outsourcing. She implemented the company’s first services outsourcing model, a multimillion dollar contract resulting in significant savings and improved IT capabilities. Additionally, she created a multi-year IT roadmap to support annual operating improvements. Ms. Evitts also served as Chief Audit Executive at Clorox for two years, was responsible for the global internal audit activities and creating the company's internal control / SOX compliance programs. Earlier, she spent 15 years at Deloitte & Touche, most recently as a partner in Oakland, delivering internal audit programs for Bay Area clients and advising audit committees on corporate governance matters, while leading the consumer goods enterprise risk services practice. Ms. Evitts earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana), and she is a CPA in California. She has served as chairman of the it committee of the Grocery Manufacturers’ Association, West Region leader for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and president of the San Francisco IIA chapter. She is actively involved with Girls Incorporated of Alameda County as a board member, first vice president and audit committee chairman.
