Biography

Ron Dooley is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Financial Industry Advisory Services in New York, with more than 20 years of banking experience in corporate lending, loan workout, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), risk management and investment banking. He has a proven track record of forming and leading teams of professionals through the execution of complex transactions. His areas of concentration include liquidity and working capital management, financial modeling, development and implementation of strategic business plans, and providing interim and crisis management services. Competencies include evaluating strategic alternatives and organizational design, assessing management and its business plans, and building consensus among negotiating parties. Most recently, Mr. Dooley assisted a global money center bank with its efforts to meet regulatory requirements for its mortgage lending. Additional engagements have included advising a G-SIFI (a global systemically important financial institution) with its Resolution Plan submission required under Title I of the Dodd Frank Act, and leading several key work streams in the Lehman Brother’s bankruptcy case, including the disposition of Lehman’s $750+ million residential mortgage and mortgage-backed security (RMBS) bond portfolio as well as resolving $75+ billion in RMBS put-back claims against the Lehman estate. Mr. Dooley also was responsible for the $1.5+ billion recapitalization of Aurora Bank, Lehman’s mortgage originator and servicer. Before joining A&M, he was with the Global Risk Management and Corporate Finance groups at Scotia Capital in New York. He began his career with TD Bank. Mr. Dooley earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Montana and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
