Biography

Samira Imamverdiyeva is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in New York in the capital markets and accounting advisory practice. Ms. Imamverdiyeva assists companies prepare for IPOs, carve-outs, spin-offs and other capital markets transactions. Mrs. Imamverdiyeva also advises on complex accounting and reporting issues, including business combinations, revenue recognition,consolidations stock-compensation, financial instruments and lease transactions. Ms. Imamverdieyeva brings extensive experience providing technical accounting and SEC reporting advice to clients in a wide range of industries including capital markets transactions, public companyreadiness, recurring SEC reporting issues, responses to issues raised by auditors or the by the SEC staff in comment letters, as well as the assessment, documentation and implementation of accounting guidance. Her sector experience includes asset management, real estate, private equity, financial services, pharma and technology.   Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Imamverdiyeva spent over 12 years as a director in the Transaction Services Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Group in PricewaterhouseCoopers New York office. During her tenure in PwC Samira served a wide range of public and private equity clients advising on preparation of GAAP financial statements, IPOs and IPO readiness, Article 11 pro-forma financial statements, follow-on offerings on Forms S-3 and S-4, S-X Rule 3-05 and 3-09, comfort letters, recurring SEC reporting, adoption of new accounting standards and complex accounting issues. Her SEC reporting experience included assisting and advising clients with respect to various capital market transactions, such as the preparation and filing of SEC registration statements for initial public offerings (IPOs), preparation of carve-out financial statements.   Mr. Imamverdiyeva earned a master of business administration degree from Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary, VA with concentration in finance, where she graduated with honors. She is  a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of New Hampshire, and is an FCCA with the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom.
