Biography

Seth Bullock is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal in Houston, specializing in advising distressed companies, lenders and creditors on both in-court and out-of-court restructurings and turnarounds.His primary areas of concentration are interim management, restructuring, business plan and strategy development, liquidity management, capital raising and distressed mergers and acquisitions.With more than 15 years of restructuring and distressed investment experience, Mr. Bullock has extensive experience across the energy spectrum, including E&P, oilfield service, biofuel / renewables, power, midstream, refining and marketing.Mr. Bullock’s notable assignments include serving as CFO of Platinum Energy Solutions, CFO of Par Petroleum, CFO of Surefire Industries USA, Treasurer of Delta Petroleum, financial adviser to the unsecured creditors committee of GMX Resources and financial adviser to the equity committee of Tri-Valley Corp. Before joining A&M, Mr. Bullock spent three years with Conway MacKenzie in Houston, most recently serving as a Managing Director. Earlier, he spent 10 years working in investment funds, focusing on distressed, high-yield and investment grade credits in the energy, power and transportation sectors.He started his career in the global energy corporate finance and financial valuation services groups at Arthur Andersen.Mr. Bullock earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Loyola University, New Orleans. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
