Biography
Simon Gore, a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Taxand U.K. in London, brings more than 14 years of professional experience in U.K. and international tax, including more than 11 years focused on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) tax. His primary areas of focus are advising private equity funds on tax structuring and due diligence. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Gore spent 12 years at Deloitte, where he most recently spent more than eight years in the M&A tax group advising private equity funds, infrastructure funds and corporate clients on transactions across a broad range of industries. During this time, Mr. Gore spent over a year in the Czech Republic focusing on transactions in Central Europe. Mr. Gore has extensive experience in advising private equity and infrastructure funds on tax matters related to U.K. and international buy-side acquisition tax structuring, pre-acquisition due diligence, vendor due diligence, vendor assist, debt restructuring and initial public offerings (IPOs). Mr. Gore earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Durham University and is a qualified chartered accountant and fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
