Biography

Steven Courtade, a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement, specializes in business intelligence, performance management and data management solutions. He advises clients on the identification of processes, organization alignment and enabling technologies that drive improved financial and operational performance. Mr. Courtade brings more than 25 years of business experience including accounting and consulting, focused on the delivery of integrated performance management solutions. Over the course of his career, Mr. Courtade has advised numerous Global 1000 organizations with developing a vision and strategy, defining requirements, evaluating solutions, selecting vendors and developing roadmaps to successfully deploy processes and enable technology.Mr. Courtade’s expertise also includes software evaluation and selection as well as remediation of performance management projects and improvement of accounting and finance processes. His experience includes more than 10 years as an employee of an industry leading Business Performance Management (BPM) software provider.Mr. Courtade has assisted clients across numerous industries, including energy, financial services, healthcare, insurance, telecommunications, manufacturing, packaging and professional services. His notable clients include Arvest Bank, AT&T, Baker Hughes, Christus Health, ConocoPhillips, Cameron, Dell Computers, Halliburton, HCC Insurance, Kimberly-Clark, LyondellBasell, Noble Corp, Pactiv/Reynolds, Quanta Services, Schlumberger, SCI, Stewart Title and the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB).Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Courtade was an IT Director at Baker Hughes responsible for the strategy, development and sustainability of the Oracle Hyperion, SAP (Systems, Applications and Products) and Data Management solutions. Previously, he was a Services Manager for Oracle Corporation focusing on BPM solutions for the Fortune 1000 companies. Mr. Courtade began his career as an accounting and IT professional with Tenneco Corporation.Mr. Courtade earned a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting from the University of New Orleans.
