Stuart Mclean

Biography

Stuart McLean is a Managing Director with the ImPART GROUP of Alvarez & Marsal Healthcare Industry Group in New York. He focuses on developing and implementing strategies and actions to drive durable improvements in competitive positioning, operating performance and financial results for a wide range of healthcare organizations. During nearly 20 years in the healthcare industry, Mr. McLean co-founded and led the growth of ImPART GROUP, which served more than 25 clients in its first 10 years, and was an officer of one of the country's most successful health systems. Mr. McLean has led strategic planning and implementation initiatives for complex multi-mission institutions, successful financial turnarounds, large-scale operational improvements and initiatives to develop market-leading quality of care programs. His clients have included integrated health systems, community hospitals, academic medical centers, medical schools, specialty hospitals, hospice companies and provider-sponsored health plans. Previously, he was a member of the leadership team at North Shore-LIJ Health System in New York, where, during his six years as Vice President, the health system grew from $500 million to more than $2 billion in revenue. At North Shore, Mr. McLean served in a number of leadership and management roles, including physician practice management, managed care contracting and risk contract management, mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration and strategic planning. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant with Deloitte and an engineer with Honeywell's Advanced Engineering Program. Mr. McLean earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree in business administration, with concentrations in strategy and finance, from the University of Michigan.
