Biography
Tres Evans is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Performance Improvement in Dallas. He has more than 15 years of experience in both consumer packaged goods and energy industries, with a financial and operational focus. Mr. Evans has an extensive background designing and implementing key performance metrics, analyzing customer and product profitability, and restructuring. Before joining A&M, he spent over two years with Peerless Manufacturing in Dallas, serving as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA). There, he led an FPA team supporting all global operations, including the Americas, EMEA and APAC. His responsibilities included: advising the CEO and CFO on quarterly presentations for the board of directors, earning conference calls and investor relations; serving as both pre-and post-integration leader for a $10 million; participating in the annual strategy-setting process; and developing and implementing critical reports such as product segment P&L’s, walk-forwards and cause-of-change looks for weekly and monthly release. Earlier, Mr. Evans worked for Dean Foods, holding a number of positions spanning almost 10 years, including senior manager revenue management and area and corporate controller.His accomplishments there included: developing and deploying pricing processes and tools to enhance margins and provide transparency; providing analytical insights related to customer P&L’s, segment performance and product analytics; managing a team of cost and senior accountants supporting 11 plants in all financial closing and analysis; and leading a transition team through the centralization of 25 facilities’ back-office functions for a new shared-services center. Mr. Evans earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and Master of Science degree in accounting from Southern Methodist University. He also earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a certified public accountant in the state of Texas.He serves on the board of directors for a charitable organization, the Texas Business Hall of Fame.
