Biography
Vicky Castro is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Taxand in Miami. With more than 15 years of experience, she has provided federal, state and international tax compliance and consulting services to large public companies, closely-held businesses, high net-worth individuals, pass through entities, foreign nationals and U.S. expatriates. She also has experience with accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 and federal and state income tax audits.Ms. Castro has served clients across a variety of industries, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, real estate, automotive and sports entertainment. Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Castro spent five years with the tax and business advisory practice of Arthur Andersen, and four years with the tax practice of Deloitte. Ms. Castro earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, and a master's degree in business administration, with a specialty in taxation, from the University of Miami. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
