Biography
William Lovis is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal in Dallas, specializing in performance improvement, finance, and supply chain operations solutions. He focuses on business transformation, process improvement and efficiency, and is an instructor for A&M’s Lean Six Sigma training and certification program. With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Lovis has held leadership roles in traditional consulting engagements, as well as interim management roles including diverse experience at both public and private-equity owned firms. His notable assignments include merger integration of back office functions, business transformation with responsibility for transforming the finance, HR, and operations processes, and finance and operations performance improvement with responsibility for cost savings and efficiency gains. Mr. Lovis has worked with clients across various industries, including energy, telecom, consumer packaged goods, real estate, higher education, construction, manufacturing and transportation / logistics. Before joining A&M, he spent six years in industry with General Electric and later Lockheed Martin, where he most recently served in the Corporate Business Leadership Development program as part of the program management review staff. While in industry, he participated in a broad array of hardware and system development projects. Mr. Lovis earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree from the University of Southern California, and an MBA with honors from the University of Texas. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
