Biography
Dr Joanna Kurmanow is a plastic surgeon with extensive experience. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in 1994. Four years later, she completed a first degree of specialisation in general surgery under the guidance of Professor Krzysztof Slowinski. In 2001, she obtained a second degree of specialisation in plastic surgery, which was preceded by training in renowned centres in Wroclaw under the direction of Dr Tadeusz Myczkowski and in Warsaw at the Plastic Surgery Clinic run by Professor Jozef Jethon, where she performed reconstructive (correction of post-traumatic deformities, breast reconstruction after mastectomy) and aesthetic surgery procedures. She honed her skills during numerous internships abroad, including in the UK, France, and the Plastic Surgery Clinic in Aarhus, Denmark. She runs her own medical practice; she also works at Solumed Plastic Surgery, Aesthetic Medicine and Phlebology Clinic in Poznan and the Department of Plastic Surgery and Reconstruction of the Trauma Surgery Ward at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences. She is also a lecturer at the College of Health, Beauty and Education in Poznan.
