Biography

Dr Jerzy Checinski is a plastic surgery specialist with many years of professional experience. In 1966, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Military Medical Academy receiving the title of medical doctor. In 1978, under the direction of Prof. Michal Krauss, he obtained his second degree of specialisation in plastic surgery at the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery of WAM Central Clinical Hospital in Warsaw. He gained experience at renowned medical institutions in Poland, including the Plastic Surgery Clinic in Polanica Zdroj, the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Centre of Medical Postgraduate Education in Warsaw, and Burn Treatment Hospital in Siemianowice Slaskie. He has done numerous internships and participated in professional courses in Poland and abroad (including Germany, Italy, and France). He has 26 years of experience at the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery of WAM Central Clinical Hospital. He is a member of the Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and the Military Medical Chamber in Warsaw.

Research Interest

As an experienced plastic surgeon, Dr Checinski carries out a full range of procedures in this field. He performs numerous facial plastic surgery procedures, including upper and lower eyelid tarsoplasty, lip augmentation, rhinoplasty, and face and neck lifts. He also does ear setback, cosmetic ear surgery for drooping ears, earlobe reconstruction, ear reduction, and brow lift. In patients with the problem of abdominal sagging, he performs tummy tuck procedures, For female patients wishing to improve the shape or size of their breasts, he carries out reductions, lifts, and augmentations using implants and Macrolane injections. In the case of breast loss following mastectomy or various kinds of trauma, Dr Checinski does breast reconstruction using different methods (expander with replacement to silicone prosthesis, expander prosthesis, own tissues). On the other hand, in the case of men with the problem of excess mammary gland tissues (gynecomastia), Dr Checinski performs surgical gynecomastia treatment.
