Following nearly twenty years at the helm of the country’s leading waste shredding provider, Chris Oldfield is now chairman of this progressive business. This role sees him responsible for the over-arching strategic direction of the growing company, as well as the continued improvement of workplace efficiencies. He maintains a hands-on role within the senior management team and has a firm vision of the company’s ongoing evolution. A passionate advocate of the ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ philosophy, with over 45 years’ industrial experience, Chris is a familiar face within the diverse environmental sector. Alongside his responsibilities towards UNTHA UK, he is a highly sought-after speaker at national trade events and in industry journals. His popularity is in a large part due to his commitment to knowledge transfer – he readily shares his specialist waste management and business development insight, regardless of whether or not it will lead to a sale. This somewhat ambassadorial stance and dedication to wider industry progress means his opinions and advice are often sought much further afield than UNTHA UK’s North Yorkshire headquarters.
