Biography
Dr. Barbara Sieklucka is the Professor of Chemistry in Jagiellonian University.Her Current research activities are focussed on the development of new polynuclear coordination framework materials based on octacyanometalate [M(CN)8]3−/4− (M = Nb, Mo, and W) building blocks and complexes of 3d (Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu) and 4f (Ln=Ce-Lu excluding Pm) metal centres. The research includes the design, synthesis and the structural, spectroscopic and magnetic characterization of the hybrid inorganic-organic coordination networks. The networks represent functional materials, which is due to their broad structural and chemical diversity and to the potential of rational tuning of their properties, such as storage, exchange, magnetic and optical.
