Biography
Dr Jerzy Pawelczyk graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Wroclaw Medical University in 1979 obtaining a diploma of completion and the title of medical doctor. In 1984, he took the specialisation exam at the Lower Silesian Governor's Office in Wroclaw, and obtained first degree specialisation in general surgery. Several years later in 1988, he took another exam (at MON) and became a II degree specialist in general surgery. The next step in his career was to present his doctoral thesis to the examination committee of the Wroclaw Medical University. This took place in 2012, and he received the academic title of doctor of medical sciences.
Research Interest
Dr Jerzy Pawelczyk specializes in general surgery procedures. He also performs minor surgical procedures, vascular surgery, laser therapy, and dermatologic surgery. He precedes venous insufficiency treatment with diagnosis using Doppler ultrasound. He has extensive experience using Nd: YAG lasers, which he uses to remove spider veins and reticular varices. He treats vascular changes using radiofrequency techniques, and varicose veins of the lower limbs using VNUS closure (EVRF) and laser therapy in conjunction with mini-phlebectomy or sclerotherapy.
