Piotr Edward Gastoł

Biography

Education: Graduated from the II Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw. Second degree specialisation in paediatric surgery, holder of MD and PhD titles. Member of many organisations and societies: Polish Society of Paediatric Surgeons, European Society for Paediatric Urology and the International Federation of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology. Experience: Resident at the following institutions: Paediatric Clinic for Sick Children in London, Paediatric Surgery Clinic of Medizinische Hochschule in Hannover, Paediatric Urology Clinic in Kobe at the Children's Hospital in Kobe, Babies & Children's Hospital in New York and the College of Physician & Surgeons, Columbia University in New York. Awarded the prize of the Minister of Health for co-writing the book entitled "Zakażenia układu moczowego" [Urinary infections]. Author and co-author of over 120 publications.

Research Interest

Professional interests: Prenatal diagnosis of congenital malformations of the genitourinary system and postnatal diagnosis and therapy, reconstructive surgery of congenital malformations of the genitourinary system, minimally invasive procedures (endourology and laparoscopy) in children.
