Biography
Dr. Michał Wszoła, MD/PhD completed his studies at the Warsaw Medical University in 1999. After completing his studies and his postgraduate residency he began working towards obtaining his specialization in general surgery which he obtained in 2007. He obtained his second specialization in clinical transplantology in 2011. He has also taken part in international internship programs, taking place amongst other in Milan. He is author an co-author of several scientific publications. He is also founder of the Medtube medical portal which publishes videos of surgical procedures and offers information concerning rare cases, interviews and different various didactic information. He is also the founder and inventor of a minimally invasive endoscopic procedure involving the transplantation of pancreatic islets under the gastric mucosa. He has served as director of the Pancreatic Islet Isolation Lab with the Szpital Klinicznego Dzieciątka Jezus Hospital for many years.
Research Interest
Dr. Michał Wszoła, MD/PhD is a lecturer at the Warsaw Medical University and is the grant director for 3D printing of a bionic pancreas. He is a promotor of minimally invasive general and transplant surgery techniques.
