Biography
Professor Ian Meredith is Executive Vice President and Global Chief Medical Officer for Boston Scientific and a member of the Executive Committee. In this role, he is responsible for leading clinical and medical affairs across Boston Scientific and providing global leadership of the company’s clinical trial strategy. Professor Meredith has served on numerous national and international professional boards, government committees and advisory boards including the Australian Department of Health and Human Services, Cardiac Services Review and the Federal Government Department of Health & Aging Cardiac Prostheses Advisory Group. He received an Order of Australia (AM) for outstanding service to medicine in the field of Cardiology as a clinician and researcher and through advisory roles with a range of public health organizations. Professor Meredith completed his undergraduate medical education in Melbourne and his PhD at the Baker Institute before embarking on post-graduate training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston.
