Biography
Mr. Alberto Chiesi serves as President of Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A. Mr. Chiesi has been the President of the Italian Group of Companies in Farmindustria since 2001. Mr. Chiesi served as the Chief Executive Officer of Chiesi Farmaceutici Spa since 1985 and also served as its President and Managing Director. He started his professional career in 1965. He has been the Chairman Chiesi Farmaceutici S. p. A. since 1985. since 2005, he has been a Member of the Board of Farmindustria. He serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Il Sole 24 ORE S.p.A. He was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Labour Merit of the Italian Republic in 1993. Mr. Chiesi earned a Degree in Pharmacy and later in Chemistry at the University of Parma.
