Biography

Experience: Many years of experience at surgical departments, both field and clinical (vascular surgery), including 8 years at the St. Luke's University Hospital in Malta and, subsequently, 10 years as the head of the surgery department of a district hospital. With LIM Medical Centre and LUX MED for three years. Professional interests: In the past: general surgery in a broad scope, vascular surgery and hand surgery. Currently, for over ten years hernia surgery in particular. Actively involved in activities of the Polish Hernia Club, member of the scientific Council of the said Society. Author of publications in the field of hernia surgery and numerous convention presentations. As the first surgeon in Poland, performed a hernia surgery using the Trabucco method and propagated the unique surgery method of an Italian surgeon, Gabriele Valenti, with the use of dynamic self-regulating prosthesis. Participated in numerous national and international scientific conventions and congresses.

Current research interest is on general surgery, hernia surgery and vascular surgery.
