Barbara Klimas

Biography

Barbara received her undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from the University of North Carolina and is licensed with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Prior to joining Quintiles, Barbara held numerous positions within community hospitals, medical university systems, medical device manufacturers and clinical research organizations. Drawing upon more than 30 years of experience across the healthcare industry, Barbara Klimas serves as the deputy head of the Diabetes and Cardiovascular Centers of Excellence. In that role, Barbara coordinates and leads special projects that draw upon cross-enterprise expertise in the areas of diabetes and cardiovascular research at Quintiles.  

Research Interest

During her time in clinical operations, Barbara’s responsibilities spanned the full duration of clinical trials – from start-up to project closeout, regulatory affairs, study drug management, data management and clinical monitoring, among others.
