Biography
Berthan Rainer was promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations responsible for the company's business segments in November 16, 2012 as part of the succession plan wherby Mr. Slovin succeeded Mr. Fischer as Chief Executive Officer following the 2012 Annnual Meeting. Prior to his promotion to Executive Vice President of Operations, Mr. Berthan served as a Vice President of the company. Prior to joining the company in September 2012, Mr. Berthan served at Demag Cranes AG, a publicly listed company, as Executive Vice President. From 2004 to 2008, Mr. Berthan was President of Weidmuller in China, a leading German company in the industrial automation business. Prio to those roles, Mr. Berthan holds a degree in Economics from the University of Applied Science Munich, Germany.
