Biography
Ms. Maria Paolo Chiesi serves as Chief Executive Officer of Chiesi Espana S.A. Ms. Chiesi has been Head of CSR at Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A. since August 1, 2016. She served as the President at Holostem Terapie Avanzate S.r.l. She serves as Vice Chairman of Chiesi Farmaceutici Spa and served as its Head of Strategic Planning until August 1, 2016. She served as Vice President and Director of Research & Development of Chiesi Farmaceutici Spa since 1974 and 1979 respectively. She serves as Chairman of the Board of Holostem Terapie Avanzate S.r.l. She served as President of the Chiesi Foundation, Parma, Italy. She served as a Director of Chiesi USA, Inc. from July 2009 to May 20, 2010. She started her career at Chiesi Farmaceutici, Parma, Italy in 1965. She is a author and co-author of several scientific publications. She holds more than 50 patents. She received the “SIAM Award 2004” for her aerosol research at the SIAM Congress in Rome in June 2004. She graduated in Chemistry in 1964 and Pharmacy in 1965 from University of Parma, Italy and Honoris Causa degree in Medicine and Surgery, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy in 2010
