Andrew G. Geddes

Biography

Andrew has over 35 years experience in the Ophthalmology business area having held several senior positions in sales and marketing within Iolab (Johnson and Johnson) and Pharmacia International in Sweden and Australasia focused on ophthalmic medical devices. Andrew was one of the founder members and for over 27 years the majority shareholder and Managing Director of Spectrum Ophthalmics the UK’s largest independent ophthalmic surgical and diagnostic products distributor. Andrew in more recent years has successfully exited several ophthalmic businesses. Having held a board position in Spectrum – Thea Pharmaceuticals UK, a joint venture that was founded in 2008 (a collaboration with Laboratoires Thea – France) and resulted in the successful acquisition in to a fully integrated subsidiary during 2014. Andrew has helped develop other successful businesses including Medicel AG the leader in intraocular lens delivery systems which was acquired in 2011 by Halma Plc.

Andrew G. Geddes has broad interest on Ophthalmology. His research thus far has focused on Clinical & Experimental Ophthalmology.
